Book Tuesday: Top Books of 2017

So I didn’t end up doing this post last year, but I was DETERMINED to post it this year!

So without further ado, I give you the top books I read in 2017!

  • Wintersong (Wintersong #1) by S. Jae-Jones
Such a wonderful book and the book I needed to read at that time.  I’ve got the ARC to Shadowsong and I can’t wait to read it!
  • Wayfarer (Passenger #2) by Alexandra Bracken
I just loved the conclusion to this duology–loved that it was also a duology and not a trilogy for once as well!
  • The Beauty of Darkness (The Remnant Chronicles #3) by Mary E. Pearson
Oh how I loved this series!! It was such a fantastic conclusion to a terrific fantasy.  I can’t wait to return to this world and I’m so psyched that we’ll be able to!

  • A Crown of Wishes (The Star-Touched Queen #2) by Roshani Chokshi
I loved this follow-up even more than The Star-Touched Queen, (and I loved The Star-Touched Queen), but there was just something to Gauri’s story that drew me in right from the beginning.  A wonderful, visual feast.  Pick it up! (Also, if you’re not following Roshani on Instagram, you are missing out on the FUNNIEST stories!)
  • The Hating Game by Sally Thorne
I had seen this circling around the blogosphere for a while and I’m so happy I finally picked it up! Just a wonderfully entertaining haters to lovers rom com that had me itching to see how it would be resolved! A perfect feel-good read.
  • A Court of Wings and Ruin (A Court of Thorns and Roses #3) by Sarah J. Maas
I mean it’s Sarah J. Maas.  Duh.  I think my favorite of this series is still A Court of Mist and Fury, but I loved seeing all my favorite characters in this one.  We def. dive more into the secondary characters, which I loved.  I can’t wait to return to this world in 2018!

  • Frostblood/Fireblood by Elly Blake
I’m throwing these two into the same category because I loved this series.  I need the third one like YESTERDAY.  ::makes grabby hands::
  • The Last Namsara (Iskari #1) by Kristen Ciccarelli

  • An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson
Hands down one of the most romantic books I read all year. I mean that in the best possible way.  Just beautiful, dark, enchanting, and brilliant.
  • Tower of Dawn (Throne of Glass #6) by Sarah J. Maas
Once again, anything Sarah J. Maas will be on one of these lists.  I loved this book so much.  I’ve always loved Chaol (even when he acted like an idiot) and I was so excited to read his story. The other characters in this one even made it more wonderful.  I think I loved it more than Empire of Storms.  Def. one of my top favs in the Throne of Glass series!
  • Moonlight Over Manhattan (From Manhattan With Love #6) by Sarah Morgan
I devoured this whole series in like a week, but I think Harriet’s story was my favorite so far.  If you’re looking for some feel-good chick lit, pick up this series.  You won’t be disappointed, I promise.

  • The Cruel Prince (The Folk of the Air #1) by Holly Black
I can’t wait for you all to read this book! Horribly dark, wonderful, and page-turning this book will grip you right from the first chapter and its twists and turns will have you anxiously waiting for the next installment.

What fantastic books did you read this year?
