31 Day Fitness Challenge

So like many of us, I have fallen off the bandwagon this winter with my fitness habits.  Holidays, cannoli, and the weather have not helped.  Still that is no excuse!  Summer is coming and with it the dreaded bathing suit…

So I thought, as this month I turn 29 and enter the LAST year of my twenties (GASP!!), I would challenge myself to do something about it.

I will be doing a 31 day fitness challenge.

Now what does this mean?  Well, it means I must do something, every day toward moving my body in some way.  Running, hiking, walking, HIT workout–ANYTHING.  I will be documenting it with a picture EVERY day on social media and I’ll have a recap of that week every Friday here on the blog to hold myself accountable.

For some people that might sound a little daunting, but when you actually think about it, it’s not that intimidating at all.  Instead of sitting at your desk at work during your lunch hour, go for a walk outside since the weather is so nice; play in the yard with your kids; have fitness dates with your significant other instead of going out to dinner and sitting in a movie theatre; meet up with your girlfriends for a walk or run in the park on a Saturday morning then go grab a coffee; dance your butt off at your friend’s wedding–get creative about it! Fitness does not have to be tedious if you don’t want it to be!
