So one of the things on my bucket list is to go Ziplining. I’ve always wanted to try it, but whenever I was places where I could (i.e. the Caribbean), I was leery of their safety measures. Some of you might scoff at that, but hey, better safe than at the bottom of a jungle floor, I say! Luckily, I found a place only an hour from me that did Zipline tours and managed to convince the bro and Meesh to tag along with me, to calm my fears for company’s sake.
We arrive and get set up with our gear. You can see how terrified excited I am to get going!
They have you start out on a small practice line so you can practice your form and landing position. After that I was feeling much better about doing the longer lines. The stop is the most jarring part since you feel like you’re going to do a summersault with your feet going right over your head. Meesh felt much better about it as well as you can see.
We had asked one of the tour guides, Shane, to take our picture and he agreed as long as he could take one himself.
I don’t have any pictures of us on the actual lines because hello I was holding on for dear life, but here are a few of us from the tour. Meesh had a lovely mark from her helmet that she proudly showed off.

One such fellow was there with his parents and was complaining the whole trip. He was not a child mind you, pretty much around our age. Dude, if you didn’t want to come in the first place, I have no idea why you did. We pretty much had eye rolls for him for the entire trip. Ironically enough, after the tour we stopped at a diner on the way home for lunch and THEY FOLLOWED US THERE. Scary.
On our way out Meesh, contemplated the meaning of life.
Meanwhile, I was very happy I survived! Ok…I might have had fun too…
