The last leg of our Magic Trip has finally arrived. I know you’re all as sad as I am that it is ending. All you’ll get from now on are posts about food, books, and my daily life. Oh, you might want to stick around for some upcoming BIG events for On the Air (we’re talking HUGE people). I’ll leave you with that! MWAHAHA!
Robby and I stopped in Savannah, GA to grab dinner on our way home from Florida.
Of course we had to stop at Huey’s on River St. for the best shrimp and grits in town!
It’s a quaint little stop with an awesome view of the cobblestone streets and the Savannah River.
Ok, twist my arm we’ll order dessert…
But could you pass up their famous bread pudding or pecan pie cheesecake?
Yea, sure. I’d like to see you try!
We walked along River St. to burn off some of that delicious dinner.
The River St. Market is a great spot for some eclectic shopping.
Look what I found there! It seems the Wizarding World of Harry Potter was following me home!
There are sweet shops all along the river where you can get these bad boys:
Before you buy them, you can watch the workers make them!
Along with their salt water taffy.
Beware heading back to your car.
We risked it and made it safely back.
The following day we hit up Washington, D.C. for our final stop before heading home. We’ve been stopping in D.C. almost every summer now on our way down or back from Florida so we’ve seen almost all the museums. Every time we stop there however, we have to stop at Armand’s for their Chicago style pizza. They have the best in the US and that’s including Chicago! When the bro and I visited Chicago last year, we tried some there and it didn’t even compare! Unfortunately for us, this time around they were closed for an event! We were so disappointed. We decided to grab dinner in Georgetown instead.
Before walking around and doing some window shopping.
We arrived home the following day after a truly magical and rejuvenating trip!
